Christmas Eve!!!

Been busy making these candy cane cupcakes, cheesecakes, potato salad, pasta salad and dips.  You would think I was going to feed an army tomorrow, but no.... the girls couldn't decide and wanted it all.

Really wish that John could be here tomorrow, but we will be together when the girls and I move to the states.

Have a great night everyone.  Will be back to update you all with photo's of the girls on Christmas Day.

Skool Daze

Anabell was in the School Production called "Skool Daze"
It was for just the year 5 and 6's.

They sang lots of songs and even got the throw books at one of the teachers during 1 of the songs. That was funny to watch, cause it looked like the kids really enjoyed that part a little too much.

Anabell, was first up with her class singing "We're not going to Take it." then she came back out a little later on and sang with 8 others the song "Popular." Her class sang "We go together" and then at the end all the 5 and 6's came out together to finish up the night to sing "Bring on tomorrow."

Anabell really enjoyed being up there on stage and loved singing and dancing.

The 8 of them have been for weeks now making Christmas Decoration and cards to take with them to spread some Christmas Cheer. They will also be singing and a few of the kids are taking there Musical Instruments to play for them also. I thought it was lovely of them to think of others.

Crafting.....

Hey everyone,

Hope you are all well.

I thought I would upload the Christmas Cards I have made so far for this year. Still have more to make, but it's so hard cause most of my scrap items are packed, as we are moving into a new place next month.

How cute does the Reindeer Card look!!!

Jasmine wanted me to make some notepads for her friends for Christmas, here are 6 of them. I used one of the Kim Archer projects from the Christmas Workshop that she is running this year. The mini Book Bands. I am loving all the projects so far and can't wait to do some more.

Have a lovely weekend

Reflections of the past year........

Hey all,

I was just sitting here thinking about the last year, and the girls and I have had a few ups and downs.

The girls and I have been on our own for a year now. This time last year, was a rough time, for the girls especially as there father moved out. I was the one that had to tell them, which made it worse, cause they asked him what he was doing and he never told them. I had depression and even had anxiety attacks, so the poor girls had to see that as well. It wasn't fair on them. There world as they knew it had fallen apart.

It took awhile but we slowly, worked on how to make things better. The girls and I grew so much closer, which I absolutely love. Jasmine, never use to be good at talking about her problems and would keep everything bottled up, but now she talks to me about things, whether it be big or small. There are times she will still hold things back, and I let her know when she is ready to talk I am here. She also started high school this year, and her grades have gotten so much better, she studies and even likes reading now. She tried out for the school production and got a part, so she was in the Little Shop of Horror Production, and is in the school Choir. She really loves to sing. Jasmine has even started drawing again, and her artwork looks great. I think it really helped when we went to the Tim Burton Expo, and seeing his earlier drawings, and what he was able to achieve but practicing.

Anabell, is still Anabell, loves everyone and forgives very easy. She also went through a few things at school. Started having nightmares, but I am happy to say that she no longer has them. She is a lot more clingy to me, than ever before, but I am hoping that will slowly, settle down. She has always been a cuddly girl (with me), but she always needs to know where I am now.

I have met the most wonderful man, he has been there through the ups and downs and helped us in so many ways. The girls love him and he loves them too, which is very important.

The girls and I are in the planning process, to move to the states. We cannot wait till all the paperwork is in order, and we then can set off, and begin our new life. There is so much too look forward too.

We still have our up and downs, as most families do, but we are so much happier and more secure than we were.

I am so proud of my girls and what they have achieved, and how much they have grown. They are both 2 beautiful girls. Love you both with all my heart. xxx

I have started making my Christmas cards, so I will take a pic soon and upload them.

P.S. I have also signed up for the Kim Archer Christmas 2010 Workshop. I have missed signing up for her classes, so I am looking forward to getting some xmas stuff done. If you haven't seen her workshops before make sure you head over to her site and have a look around. She is also on Facebook.

Simple Layouts

Hello to all out there in blogland,

Hope everyone is doing well.

I have done 3 layouts. Very simple ones, just trying to get back into scrapping again.

These photos were taken a few weeks ago..... the girls and I had fun trying to take some pics. You should have seen all the miss shots, with me trying to take the photo... too high, some too low. lol

But finally there are a few photos that have me in them... more for the girls sake, cause I really don't like them of me.

Now I am off to do a layout of Jazzy in her Mad Hatters Costume!!!

Until next time

Mad Hatter

Hey everyone,

My DD Jazzy, went to a Alice in Wonderland themed birthday party yesterday. She dressed up as the Mad Hatter. She absolutely loved how she looking in her costume.

She had a ball in the car on the way to her friends house. So many people were looking and laughing, so she decided to make herself look funnier. She opened her eyes as wide as she could, put a huge smile on her face and was waving to them all. She had a truck driver in stitches while we were at a red light, he was laughing so much.

I love it when I see my girls laugh, and are happy, especially with all that has happened in there lives in the last year, and with things that are still going on at the moment. Both my girls are amazing and I am so proud of them both. Love you girls. xxx

Here are some photos of Jazzy, dressed as the Mad Hatter and ready to go and have some fun at the birthday party.
