So Long

Since I have posted anything.

Does anyone check my blog anymore. LOL

I haven't finished 1 LO in months. I have finally started 1 this week, so hopefully I get it finished and posted soon.

Since the last time I posted:

On the 14th June Rik and I celebrated (well not really) being together for 14 years.
The day went past with nothing really. Neither of us really were in the mood, and I spent most of the day booking flights and airport buses to go to New Zealand.

My MIL passed away on the 12th June. She had been fighting cancer for a very long time. But what hit us the most was we spoke to her 2 days before that and she felt great. She had started a new treatment and she seemed better. We all were happy and positive.

So on the 15th June we took off for NZ as the funeral was on Tuesday the 16th. We arrived in NZ at 2am in the morning on the 16th as our plane was very delayed.

We all stayed there for 2 weeks to be there for my FIL.

I was very proud of Jasmine and Anabell they were fantastic. They didn't argue with each other the whole time. They showed alot of maturity.

I did take a few pics of the family, so I will post them soon.

Apart from that I really haven't done to much at all.

I love them, thank you Jasmine and Anabell.

Well not much else has been happening in my life at the moment. I haven't done any scrapping at all, so nothing to share.

And I also would like to thank the ladies for leaving those lovely comments on my last post.

Happy Easter

I hope everyone had a great Easter.

On Easter Sat Rik and I took the girls to Arthur's Seat Maze for the day. They have an Easter egg hunt every year, but we haven't been there since 2003. So we figured it was time to go again.

It's a great place to take the kiddies. The maize Maze it always great too. This time it was a Unicorn.

Here are a couple of pics that I took on the day.

Easter day, Sunday.

The girls woke up nice and early, not something I wanted as I was up until 2am in the morning as I wanted to finish reading the book I had.

We bought the girls Guitar hero for Easter. We all had a ball on it once it was set up and going.
Jasmine and Anabell, ate chocolate for breakie and then just for a change they then after that had some choc chip hot cross buns. LOL

It's the one day of the year that they are allowed to have chocolate for breakie.

In the afternoon we headed up to see our friends in Cranbourne. Had a barbie for dinner and the boys have a few drinks while us girls get some chatting in. We normally stay there the night as it is normally a late one.

Sunday morning, we got up and got ready to head home.

Later in the arvo, one of the foster children that lived with us, ran into Jasmine and I at frankston last week. We haven't seen G for 2 years. So I was really surprised when he came over. It was great seeing him again. A great kid that just had so many things to deal with and couldn't cope very well. Well he really has changed, he is so happy and really seems to be getting himself in the right track. He turned 20 on Sat. He now is taller than me. LOL.......
He was 13 when he moved in, and he was around until just before he turned 18. Hoping that we can stay in touch this time.

Today nothing much has happened just the usual cleaning and I finished a LO too.

Also here are a few cards I made last week also.

Have you read The Mortal Instruments??? Three books, City of Bones, City of Ashes and City of Glass. Great books. Read them all in 4 day. Nothing at all like Twilight. It took a bit to get into after coming of the back of Twilight but once you get into these you can't put them down either.

Well I think that's all for today. I have to take the girls to kickboxing.
Until next time
Take care

Some Scrapping

Hi all,

School holidays have started. Yesterday Rik and I took the girls to see Monsters v's Aliens. It was a pretty cool movie. The girls loved it too.

Today is Mark's birthday, he would have turned 25. Love you and miss you so much little bro xxx.

The girls have started doing the Kids Challenges that Fiskars have organised. All the details are here, if you have kids that love to do crafty things.

Anabell has already done 1 of the challenges. She has decorated this foam egg, using 2 Fiskars products.

Well done Anabell, it looks great.

***********************************************

I have done some scrapping also.

Here is a LO that I finished yesterday.

FAMILY

************************************************

You know how when you were kids you use to make Chatter Boxes, and your kids make them now too. Well I decided to make one out of left over paper from the mini album I have done for Kaiser.

Well here it is......... The Chatter Box

*******************************
Lastly I have also decorated a couple of foam eggs as well. Also made with the Kaiser Airy-Fairy pp's.

Well that's all for today.
Take care

April already.........

Long time no update.

Things are all ok on the home front. We haven't been up to much at the moment.

On the 21st March I would have celebrated my son Wade's 13th birthday, if he was here with us. Still a sad day for me. I think more so this year as he would have started high school. And all the unanswered questions on what he would have looked like now and what his personality was like. Lots of other things too but I would go into detail.

************************************

On the scrapping front, I haven't done to much.

I have applied to the Kaisercraft DT. I have finished my projects and sent them in. Applications need to be in by the 10th April.

1. We had to do a single LO about ourselves........That was a hard one for me as I really don't do LO's of myself.

2. A double LO.
(here is a sneak at that one)

3. And lastly an OTP item with either MDF or acrylic album.
(here is my sneak peak at that one too)

I will post them all properly when applications close and they announce the new DT ladies.

*********************************

The next LO was one I did with the left over papers that I used for the LO about me for Kaiser.

4 Books 1 Saga

Take care

Hi.........

Hi,

Thought I better check in and write some dribble........LOL

Not much has been happening at all. Had a few things happen, and not really wanting to even turn on the comp. Feeling better and happier now.

While hiding away, I decided to see what all the fuss was about with the Twilight books. Well now I can see. Loved it. And finished the whole 4 books in 8 days. Yep I know to much time on my hands. LOL

In other news, My first LO was published in Scrapbook creation this month. Well 2.
Here are LO's. Both in the Animal Gallery. It was really surreal seeing my LO's in a mag, never thought that would every happen.

**********************************************
In the last month, I have only done 1 LO, that I finished yesterday.

Well thats all for now.

Birthday's and LO's

Hi all,

I have been feeling pretty bad lately, with all the bush fires happening. So many lost lives, homes and animals.

It is all just horrible and devastating. I feel for all involved. I don't know anyone personally, that have been affected by the fires, but friends of mine have.
I have tried to do my part to help, with donations.

You are all in my thoughts.

The girls school had a free dress, and donation day last Friday for the bush fire appeal.
