4 Sleeps till Christmas

Hi all,

Nothing major happening here, just getting everything ready for xmas.

All presents are wrapped, grocery shopping is finished, just now need to make the cheesecakes and chocolate balls and dips.

I forgot to write something else in my last post.

I am going to the PINK Concert next year. I can't wait. It's not till Aug though, so the waiting begins.

I have Miss S here at the moment. She stayed the night as her mum and dad had a work xmas party to Head off to. As I am typing I can here her in the bed making all sorts of noises. Its so funny. She is such a little cutie. 10 months old now.

I bought myself a new front loader washing machine with the money we all received, I also need to send my car in to have a tune and a few other little things done and whatever is left I am putting aside to help get that little close to buying the Miniature Australian bulldog that we want. They are so cute.

We went and had a look at some as there is a breeder in Frankston. They showed us a couple of pups that were 2 weeks old. They fit into the palm of your hand.

^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^

On the scrapping front nothing much exciting. I have managed to finish 1 LO.

It is a sketch for Forever Always. And a Double.

Products Used: CS, BG and MM pp's, Kaiser Rhinestones and Pearls, Lace, Distress Ink, AC Thickers, Prima Bling Swirls and Flowers, Kindy Glitz, BG Alphas Stickers and Carolees Creations ABC's, and Colorbok Journal Stax. Think that's all.

I need for do a photo Shoot with my girls yet, but they had one done with santa yesterday.

Today we hare heading off to a friends to see there new born son (first child).

I think that's all for now.
Take care

Xmas Carols night and more.......

Back again,

I needed to finish updating my blog. As it would have been way to much to add into the last post.

* I had a lovely lunch with Cindy and Kade on Friday. Kade had his photo with Santa too. I loved his facial expressions.

* Found out on Friday arvo that my mum and dad are back together, and have bought a house in Gympie.

* My younger had a scare with Breast Cancer. Glad to here that all is ok and it wasn't cancer.

* I only have 1 more layby to pick up from Big W. As it is DS Lites I want to keep them on a little longer. I will probably pick them up on Thursday. Have to make sure they work before wrapping them.

* Jasmine is heading off to the Clayton Monash Hospital on Thursday the 18th, as her school choir group will be singing there. I'm hoping I can also jump onto the bus as well, saves me driving there.

* Scrapbook Creations want another LO, so from never having anything published I am going to have 2 in issue 64 (Animal Gallery) and 1 in Issue 66 (Running Circle Gallery).

* I won a $15 voucher in a sketch comp, the LO was called Dream.

* Friday night Anabell had a friend sleep over. They had a great time and played Buzz on playstation.

* Yesterday (Sat), Anabell decided to clean her room. She has thrown away so much. Ready for xmas. LOL gotta love that.

* On the 10th, the girls had there school Christmas Carols Night. Here are a couple of pics of them. I even managed to get one of Rik to his disgust......LOL

**************************************************
* Jasmine has been diagnosed with what is called Sever's Disease. Not serious, but she can't do any sports for awhile until it heals. So no Kick Boxing, running, jumping on the tramp, nothing. She is not allowed to wear flat shoes either. Jasmine has told me that when she walks she feels like a popping feeling is happening in her heel, so I bought her a brace to support her heel. So far it is working. I am figuring it is the tendon moving around in her heel and that is the popping sensation she is feeling.

Sever's disease occurs in children when the growth plate (which is the growing part of the heel) is injured. The foot is one of the first body parts to grow to full size. This usually occurs in early puberty. During this time, bones often grow faster than muscles and tendons. As a result, muscles and tendons become tight. The heel area is less flexible. During weight-bearing activity (activity performed while standing), the tight heel tendons may put too much pressure at the back of the heel (where the Achilles tendon attaches).

*************************************************************

Well thats all I think for the moment. Can't think of anything else.

Crafty Matters

Hi all,

Hope everyone is well.
I am all ready for xmas. Presents bought and all wrapped. Glad that is all over and done with, as the shops are getting very busy now.

We put our Christmas tree up on the 1st.

Miss S Elf Dress looked a little to plain for me so I took it of her mum and decided to put some bells on it. I wanted to do a little more but J said that just the bells were enough.

So here are the before and after photos.

BEFORE

AFTER

AND A FEW CLOSE UPS

^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^
Here is a Lo that I have done for the 123 Challenge Blog. December Challenge is to do a LO with:
1. a tree
2. Paint
3. Lots of Bling
So this is my interpretation.

Products Used: CS, Paint, Kindy Glitz, Kaiser Rhinestones, Hambly Rub-ons, Ink, Pens, AC Thickers, and Prima Stamps.

^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^
Next are the 2 note books that I made for the girls teachers.
Jasmine and Anabell's teachers are so different from each other and I went with there personalities to decide on the colour schemes.
Jasmines Teachers Notebook:

Anabell's Teachers Notebook:

I wouldn't normally use these colours together, but I don't think it came out to bad. LOL if you knew Anabell's teacher you would understand why all these colours.

^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^
The Next is called a 3D Flower Ball. It is made up of 12 Origami Flowers. Each flower has 5 petals, so that adds up to 60 petals to make this flower ball. It took awhile to make, but it looks great.
THE 12 FLOWERS

THE FLOWER BALL FINISHED

A CLOSE UP OF THE FLOWER BALL

^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^

I think I will leave it here as there is lots more to catch up on but I will do that in the next post. I will have to do it in the next couple of days.

If you are at Bunnings Frankston on Sunday the 30th, Jasmine will be singing with her School Choir at about 11am. Anabell will be joining in for a few of the songs on her recorder. Our school is having there yearly Sausage Sizzle. Come and say hi if you are there.

ETA.........Bunnings sausage sizzle cancelled due to not enough parent helpers.

I really haven't been up to much else lately. But I have managed to do a few LOs.

Why do I leave it so long before I update???

Ok here goes.....long post ahead. LOL

Hope everyone is keeping well.

Saturday the 8th
I have been feeling a bit lost of late, as Rik went to New Zealand on the 8th of this month. I have not spend this long away from him. I hate it. Some of you might be saying enjoy the peace.....LOL He went over to do some painting for his parents. Also to spend some time with his mum as she is getting worse. Chemo and radiation is not helping the cancer.
We had to drop Rik of in Frankston to catch the Airport bus at 6am in the morning. So we were up at 5am in the morning.
That afternoon the girls and I had to get organised as we had to go to a birthday party. The party went well, most people piked at about 2am in the morning.

Sunday the 9th
I was still up with the birthday girl and another friend till nearly 6am. So I had now been awake for more than 12 hours. Thought I better get some sort of sleep. Up again within 4 hours. LOL.....my eyes felt so heavy.
I helped clean up and just relax the afternoon away. The girls were kept busy with the other kiddies that were there. Which was great as they were already missing dad and were very clingy to me. As some ppl know about the dramas in my life last year at about this time, some scary memories came back and the girls were worried.
We ended up having dinner there as well. Then we had to come home as Rik rang the girls to say hi.

Wednesday the 12th
I had to take Jasmine down to Frankston K-mart as her school choir sang some Christmas Carols. I was very proud of her.
The donut place outside K-mart made this Donut Cake for the kids when they finished singing, before having to drive them back to school.

And here is a couple of the K-mart employees, dressed up for the occasion. They even danced at one point.

It was a great morning.

Friday the 14th
Today our school had our Fare. The girls really enjoyed it a lot. I was broke at the end of the night. With rides costing $5 each. LOL

Saturday the 15th
Not much happened today, did the usual cleaning. Did a little scrapping and we went up the road and hired out some DVD's.

Sunday the 16th
Today, we headed of to Skate World. The girls had a ball as per usual. Karen dropped in to have a chat. Great catching up.

Wednesday the 19th
This morning we had another early morning as we had to be at school by 8:15am. Anabell left to go on camp. They were going to Phillip Island. The house is so quiet at the moment as it is Just Jasmine and I. I had to laugh, as Anabells bag is nearly as big as her.

I have had a few problems with Anabell lately, as she has this huge phobia about being fat. She hasn't been eating her lunch at school. She is only eating at home, but tries to put off having breakfast and lunch. I had to have a really big talk to her, and I have to keep an eye on her. There isn't that much of her as it is. My little girl is only 9.

I have also finally finished a LO. It has taken forever to do. Don't know why. It is a double one that I have put in a frame that sits in the lounge room. I couldn't get a good photo of it in the frame. I will try again another day.

And a few close ups, of the dimension

Baking......

Hope everyone is well.

On Saturday arvo, Miss S came over for a visit and a sleep over. Felt a little strange having a baby in my room again, and I didn't like that fact the I was woken at 2:30am in the morning. Miss S still wakes up in the early hours in the morning for a bottle. Miss S's mum picked her up on Sunday morning just after 11am.

I have been baking again. Last night I made Date and Walnut Scroll Bikkies. I have always wanted to try a Pumpkin Pie, so last night I made that also. I was disappionted with the Pumpkin Pie, wasn't as nice as what I was hoping. So I won't be making it again in a hurry......LOL

Update.......

Hi all,

Hope everyone is well. Thought I better update as it has been awhile, slacker me. HEHE

Last week I caught up with Cindy and had a cuppa, and a great chat. She gave me a little pressie, thank you. I have already used it, on the LO called 18 speed.

The cute little laser cut Owl..........I love it. You must check out her other designs here, all the details on how to get them are also on the blog. They are all fabbo.

Here is another LO that I have also done of my nephew Tramain.

I have been wrapping xmas pressies, making xmas tags and cards, as I really don't want to be doing it at the last minute.

I have finished all my shopping, just paying off the laybys. I have spent a fortune on the girls....LOL. That's what I get for starting my xmas shopping on July.

Went to a friends for a barbie on the weekend.

Rik is planning to head over to NZ soon and visit the family and do some painting for them while there. His mum isn't getting any better. Her cancer has now gone into her spine. She, earlier in the year had a rod put in her leg to strengthen it up due to the cancer.

I can't think of anything else at the moment, so I will sign out.

Take care

The weekend........

On Saturday, I wanted to head down to the opening of Spotlight. The Rik and the girls wanted to come along as well.

Anabell and I went into Spotlight, I wanted some of the cardstock cause it was on special and I wanted to say hi to the wonderful Cindy.

Anabell sat down and use the Fiskars cutting tool and cut out a perfect teddy bear shape. It was the first time she has used the cutting system.

I also ran into Karen and Will.

I bought some cardstock, a huge bottle of kindy glitz, 2 heart shaped door hangers and a few other little things.

The girls tried out the Kayaking at Anaconda. They both had done really well.

Rik and I took the girls for a bike ride and a play at the park, Shae also came for a walk with us. On the way home we stopped off and bought an ice-cream. Shae had one too.

I also started decorating Jasmines door hanger, which I finished off on Sunday.

On Sunday, I did the boring grocery shop, in the morning. When I came home I finished Jasmines door Hanger and also did Anabells.

I then made some Choc caramel Muffins and some jam drops.

Hope everyone had a good weekend.

Not a very exciting post.....

Hi all,

Nothing much exciting happening here at the moment. The girls are back at school.

I do have a gripe though..........
The beginning of Sept I had won a prize on a forum and I had also won a rak on a blog, both said they were going to post but I still haven't received anything. I last week decided that I would just send a quick email to the person that I had won the prize with, just to find out that the parcel hadn't got lost. Well I think I am being ignored as I still haven't had a reply. I haven't bothered with the Rak prize.

What is it about me that people don't like??? I try and be nice, try and do the right thing, be there for friends but ultimately I always get s***ed on in the end.

Well if you are still here and haven't just exited this blog, here is a LO that I finished the other day. It has lots of BG goodies on it. I still need to find the right journalling for it yet.

Challenge #5 for SYTYCS

This weeks challenge was FREESTYLE / ARTSY, I have never actually done a LO like this before. I have tried using lots of paint on a LO before but haven't liked it so I threw it away before I even finished it.

Not sure if this really is freestyle/arty, but Rick thinks it is. He even said he really liked it. I was a little gobsmacked LOL.

Products Used: Pizza box for the base of my LO, Tissue paper(the pink in the middle of the LO), Stamps, Transparency, Flowers, Prima Lace Flowers, Kaiser Pearls, Masking Tape, Lots of Paint, Lace, Staples and Petaloo Leaves.

So this LO has NO cardstock or pp. first time ever.

Not to much else has happened here. We went to skateworld again.........the girls love skating. We just had a quiet day at home today. I think it was the first time that we stayed home all day for the entire school holidays.

Second Week of the School holidays so far

Hi all,

So how is everyone surviving the school holidays so far. Things have been pretty good here. The girls have been kept busy. I haven't got I'm bored mum......yet. LOL

Well so far this week starting from Sunday.

BABY SHOWER
Sunday arvo we went to Tom and Suzie's baby shower. It was a modern one as the partners all had to come as well. LOL.......non of the males wanted to be there at all. One of the games we played was guess whats in the nappy. The boys had to get involved in this, so they banded together to take out the win.

Another game was we had to guess how many lollies where in the bottles. We all had to guess and the closest win one of 3 bottles. Anabell guessed the right amount of one of them.......YEAH go Anabell.

Here is the card that I made for them.
and the inside of the card.......

I also made this lollipop with a face washer and a paddle pop stick (actually one of the hundred rub-on sticks I have just lying around).

I decided I didn't want to buy any clothes for there baby as they really have enough and I knew they would get more from other people. So Rick and I bought this frame. My First Year. You put the photos of the baby for every month up to 12 months. I thought that this would be a lovely keepsake, as it is there first.

And a close up of the cute little animals in the middle of the frame.
We didn't get home till after 7:30pm that night, had some dinner and watched 10,000BC. Great movie.
**************************************************

MOVIE DAY
Monday I took the girls to Karingal to go and see Space Chimps. Really cool movie. They sat there munching out on popcorn......... A friend her daughter and step son came with us also.
When we were leaving Jasmine saw a friend of hers that she hasn't seen since leaving Overport. They have known each other since before kinder. I really need to try and catch up with her mum so the girls can have a play. I really think that made Jasmines day. Love seeing my girls with a smile on there face.
When we came home I started a LO but with the girls home i feel real guilty scrapping and telling them to go and amuse themselves. They do it anyway but, I love spending as much time with them as possible as when they get older they aren't going to want to be with mum.....LOL.

*****************************************************

TODAY

Today.........

We took it easy this morning, just lounged around doing our own thing.

We the went down to Frankston as I wanted to check out the prices of roller blades. As the girls are going to Skate World on a regular basis I really wanted them to own there own pair of blades.

We went to Kmart, found some there, but thought I would check out Target, Rebel Sport and Toys R us. In the end we settled for the ones we saw first at Kmart. They were the best made ones for an affordable price. The ones at rebel sport where just a bit out of my price range at $150 each pair. I liked that the girls were Just under $60 each. The bonus of these ones are that they change up 4 sizes so I can pinch them as they also fit me........LOL.

So here are the girls back at home trying out there new blades up and down the driveway.

Anabell's feet............
Jasmine's feet..............

Well I think I might sign off now. Need to catch up on everyones blogs.
