I have the last couple of weeks been doing challenges for a chance to be on the design team over at Forever Always.
On Tuesday, October 16, 2007 9:25 PM I received this email:
Hi Vesna,
You’ve been invited to the next stage….so what does that involve.
Weeks, 3, 4 and 5 will begin with a Scrap-Off, this means you will be required to submit 5 layouts showcasing what you consider to be your best work. With at least one page entered into the gallery weekly {end of week being 9am on the Tuesday}. With all 5 layouts entered by 9am on Tuesday the 6th November.
Your best work, must be well-rounded pages showcasing not only originality and creativity, but pages with a strong focus on photography, balanced composition and expressive journaling.
See Forum for further Details which will be posted once all participants have been contacted.

I was so excited as I have never made it past first round ever before, and apart from my girls not much in my life has been going right.
The other details are:
Challenge #3 SCRAP OFF {weeks 3, 4 & 5}
Weeks, 3, 4 and 5 will begin with a Scrap-Off, this means you will be required to submit 5 layouts showcasing what you consider to be your best work. With at least one page entered into the gallery weekly {end of week being 9am on the Tuesday}.

The Design Team will be voting on this section of the competition, and they will be looking at
Layouts with a Focus on photos including the quality of the photos. Does the layout tell a story with the aid of the photos? Are the photo’s crisp and clear? Are the photos Expressive?
Layouts with Journaling. Does the journaling enhance the layout? Is it meaningful and easy to read?
Design and Composition. The elements and principals of design are the building blocks used to create a work of art. Generally all layouts will contain most if not all the elements of design. How the principals of design are applied, determines whether the layout works. Does the layout follow the elements & principals of design – Line, Shape, Direction, Size, Texture, Colour, Value {tone}, Balance, Gradation, Repetition, Contrast, Harmony, dominance & Unity.
Originality and Creativity. Does this Layout reflect the style of the designer? Does this designer use originality within the use of the products?
With this said, you are now free to create 5 layouts, remembering what the DT will be voting on. Best wishes and Good Luck…..remember it’s the best that’s the last scrapper standing.
Inspiration Each Week a Design Team member will inspire you with a WORD or THEME – to get the creative juices flowing. (Remember our week starts on Thursday),and this is just inspiration, you are FREE to create LO's without this inspiration.
Now for a couple of LO's I have done.
This one is of Jasmine's this years school photo. I have hand cut the patterned paper. Some call me mad for doing it but I love the effect you can get by doing this.
Product Used: Bazzil Cardstock, Sassafras Lass pp, Scenic Route pp, Creative Imaginations - Narratives, Heidi Swapp - Chipboard Alphas, Heidi Swapp - Ghost Clock, Heidi Swapp - Bling Border, Versa Magic Chalk Ink, Brad, Autumn Leaves Clear Stamp, Carolee's Creations Tiny Alphas, Hambly Screen Prints - Rub-ons.
This one I have kept very simple. This is Anabell standing still. And for those of you that don't really know Anabell well, she doesn't normally stop moving, even in her sleep she is a shocker.
Products Used: Bazzil Cardstock, Making Memories pp, Hambly Screen Prints Overlay, Bella Bling, Flowers, and Ribbon.
I do have a few more just haven't taken photos of them yet and one is for Paperdolls (Wendy's) monthly comp. This month we have to use American crafts paper, on our LO.
My 3 brother-in-laws and sister-in-law are arriving sometime today I just don't know when. Not even sure how long they are staying for.
Well I better head off now as I need to get ready to pick my girls up from school. I might walk down and take Buster for a walk (the dog). I will have to remember to put a pic of him on my blog as well. He is such a gentle dog that doesn't normally bark or jump on people. He is a Ridgeback X.
Well I think if you have made it all the way to here you need a medal, hehe.
Take Care everyone
Until next time
Vesna

Hi Vesna,
Congratulations, I know that you will do well.
You have always loved cutting out those flowers, there is only two people that I think of when flowers are cut out that is yourself and Willisa, you both have so much patience.
Will keep checking the blog for updates on the comp.

Hi Vesna,
I'm so thrilled and excited for you. Congratulations on making it through to the next round. I'm sure you'll go even further, you are producing such fantastic pages lately. That's one thing that's going right for you atm too.
Congrats on your other exciting scrap news too. (I won't spoil it by saying before you do).
Take care of yourself
