Not much to tell at the moment nothing has really changed in my life at the moment, still in total chaos.

Last Saturday I took the girls to the beach for a little while, because it had been a beautiful day. Yuk sandflys though, they were real bad.

So here are some pics of the girls enjoying the cool water.

I have done a couple more LO's but I need to take photos of them first. So I will put that in my next post.

Jasmine had her eyes re-tested this afternoon and she now needs glasses. Last year they said it still wasn't bad enough for glasses, but she is now getting headaches and having blurriness. They cool looking glasses and the frames are called Giggly Red. So now just need to wait a week and she will have them.

I Found out yesterday afternoon that:

It looks like that the person that did the hit and run (but came back about 10 or so minutes later), is going to get off without being charged with anything. The police are finishing up there reports and they have told us that it was only an accident. But he left my brother there in the middle of the road. That 10 or so minutes could have saved him.

Head on over to Wendy's Blog and put in your vote for the LO you like the best. You have until this Sunday 4th Nov to do your vote.

Family's

Hi all,

Well since my last update, Ricks brothers (Mal and Gary) and sister-in-law (Nikki) arrived on Friday night. Christopher the youngest of the brother decided not to come down. They were exhausted after there drive to Frankston from the Central Coast in N.S.W. Not much happened on the Friday night.

*************************************************

Gary knew that something was wrong so he asked me what has been happening and I told him about Mark. He didn't even know. Rick didn't tell him. Gary and I have never had a very good relationship. But when I told him about Mark, he was shocked and seemed to be more upset about it than Rick. Gary had only met Mark once when Mark was 11.

Gary later on told me he had asked Rick why he didn't tell him about my brother and Ricks response was "It wasn't my place." I thought we were all suppose to be family???

Jasmine, Anabell and I headed of to Wendy's to say 'Hi' and also to pick up Anabell's denim jacket. Wonderful Jenny from coffee morning altered the denim jacket. It looks absolutely Fab!!! A very big thank you Jenny. Anabell LOVES it.

To Wendy, you have been a great friend. Thank you so much for all the support you have shown me, it means alot.

In all that has happened to me since September, I thought things might start looking up with family. Well no it hasn't. I found out my dad is not well, he is on heart medication, my poor sister is getting sms's from mum telling her to look after dad when she is gone, (meaning, she doesn't want to live anymore), my mum and dad are spliting up and the house is now on the market, my dad has Mark's bike and all that is wrong with it is 1 broken handle bar, Rick and I really aren't talking still, the police still haven't finished with the investigation so we are no closer to really finding out the exact details of Marks death. What else can go wrong???

*****************************************************

Sunday morning we all got up and I wanted to take some photos of the girls with there Aunty nd Uncles so we all got dressed and had a photo shoot.

The last photo is of the 3 brothers, Mal, Rick, and Gary (*left to right) that order is eldest to youngest. Rick is on tippy toesa to try and be as tall as the other 2.

We then finished the photo shoot and they packed the car to make the journey back to N.S.W. As they were about to leave MAl said to Nikki did you take one of Rick, Vesna and the girls and well she forgot. So then we had to pose for one of those yeah. I love photo's *not*. lol
They left at about 11:30am.

The girls wanted to go to the park so off we went. We ended up at Frankston. Lots of fun trying to find a car park. They had a bit of a play there and then they asked if they could go down to the beach, so off we went to the beach. We came home about 3:30pm.

When we got home I still had to wash the girls school uniform as I hadn't done it yet. So I did that and changed the girls sheets on there beds as that is where Nikki and Mal slept. I got the girls lunches ready for school, they love there vege boxes (carrots, cucumber, cauliflower, broccoli and tomatos). Then organised dinner. While the girls relaxed in the bath.

Journaling Says: Kia Ora! What you are witnessing is the result of localised volcanic activity which took place on Friday 26th January 2001 at 3.30pm. No people were injured during the eruption which lasted approximately 15 minutes and was a spectacular sightfor locals and visitors alike. At the time of the eruption, mud, steam, and debris was thrown 200m into the air. Jasmine and Anabell loved everything except for the smell. They laughed at the mud bubbling because of the sound Blop, Blop, Blop. 27th July 2007.

Products Used: Cardstock, B.G.pp's, B.g.Chipboard Mono's, Heidi Swapp Chipboard Alphas, Flowers, Bling Brad, Fancy Pants Rub-ons, Scraplets, Versa Magic Chalk Ink.

*******************************************

Yesterday I stayed home and a friend Michelle came over for a chat and scrapping. I think we did more talking than anything else.

I am also waiting on a parcel to arrive in the mail any day now as I was in footy tipping comp and I came second so I got to spend just under $100 at an online shop. I will update with a pick of my goodies when it arrives. So here it is.

Well I think that's about all for the moment.
Take care

DT Comp

I have the last couple of weeks been doing challenges for a chance to be on the design team over at Forever Always.

On Tuesday, October 16, 2007 9:25 PM I received this email:

Hi Vesna,
You’ve been invited to the next stage….so what does that involve.

Weeks, 3, 4 and 5 will begin with a Scrap-Off, this means you will be required to submit 5 layouts showcasing what you consider to be your best work. With at least one page entered into the gallery weekly {end of week being 9am on the Tuesday}. With all 5 layouts entered by 9am on Tuesday the 6th November.

Your best work, must be well-rounded pages showcasing not only originality and creativity, but pages with a strong focus on photography, balanced composition and expressive journaling.

See Forum for further Details which will be posted once all participants have been contacted.
Sonia Bowers
www.foreveralways.com.au.

I was so excited as I have never made it past first round ever before, and apart from my girls not much in my life has been going right.

The other details are:

Challenge #3 SCRAP OFF {weeks 3, 4 & 5}

The Design Team will be voting on this section of the competition, and they will be looking at

Layouts with a Focus on photos including the quality of the photos. Does the layout tell a story with the aid of the photos? Are the photo’s crisp and clear? Are the photos Expressive?

Layouts with Journaling. Does the journaling enhance the layout? Is it meaningful and easy to read?

Design and Composition. The elements and principals of design are the building blocks used to create a work of art. Generally all layouts will contain most if not all the elements of design. How the principals of design are applied, determines whether the layout works. Does the layout follow the elements & principals of design – Line, Shape, Direction, Size, Texture, Colour, Value {tone}, Balance, Gradation, Repetition, Contrast, Harmony, dominance & Unity.

Originality and Creativity. Does this Layout reflect the style of the designer? Does this designer use originality within the use of the products?

With this said, you are now free to create 5 layouts, remembering what the DT will be voting on. Best wishes and Good Luck…..remember it’s the best that’s the last scrapper standing.

Inspiration Each Week a Design Team member will inspire you with a WORD or THEME – to get the creative juices flowing. (Remember our week starts on Thursday),and this is just inspiration, you are FREE to create LO's without this inspiration.

Now for a couple of LO's I have done.

This one is of Jasmine's this years school photo. I have hand cut the patterned paper. Some call me mad for doing it but I love the effect you can get by doing this.

Product Used: Bazzil Cardstock, Sassafras Lass pp, Scenic Route pp, Creative Imaginations - Narratives, Heidi Swapp - Chipboard Alphas, Heidi Swapp - Ghost Clock, Heidi Swapp - Bling Border, Versa Magic Chalk Ink, Brad, Autumn Leaves Clear Stamp, Carolee's Creations Tiny Alphas, Hambly Screen Prints - Rub-ons.

This one I have kept very simple. This is Anabell standing still. And for those of you that don't really know Anabell well, she doesn't normally stop moving, even in her sleep she is a shocker.

Products Used: Bazzil Cardstock, Making Memories pp, Hambly Screen Prints Overlay, Bella Bling, Flowers, and Ribbon.

I do have a few more just haven't taken photos of them yet and one is for Paperdolls (Wendy's) monthly comp. This month we have to use American crafts paper, on our LO.

My 3 brother-in-laws and sister-in-law are arriving sometime today I just don't know when. Not even sure how long they are staying for.

Well I better head off now as I need to get ready to pick my girls up from school. I might walk down and take Buster for a walk (the dog). I will have to remember to put a pic of him on my blog as well. He is such a gentle dog that doesn't normally bark or jump on people. He is a Ridgeback X.

Well I think if you have made it all the way to here you need a medal, hehe.
Take Care everyone
Until next time

Crops, Comps and Books

Not much to report at all since last week. I have a very uneventful life. hehe

Last Friday night went to Wendy's for crop night. I haven't been in ages, so it was great to go again. We had the best night, more laughing and chatting than actually scrapping. It was great to have a few hours without the girls, (love them dearly but it has been quite awhile since I have time on my own).

This is the only LO I got done.

On Saturday I went to Meryl's place for our monthly crop day. There is normally 6 of us, and we alternate houses each month. But this month there was only 4 of us. I didn't get much done there either only 1 LO and another frame. Both of the girls came with me as they had missed me on Friday night.

The LO

The Frame

Then on Saturday night we all went round to Rick's mates place so the boys could watch the rugby.

Well today the girls are back at school, and the house is so quiet. It's nice, but I also love listening to them giggling and having fun (so I miss that). I think I need a life, hehe.

The frame that I made on Saturday was posted off this morning to my sister Sonia in Brisbane, I made it for her, and also a couple of pics of the girls.

Then when the postie arrived today, my book that I had bought came YEAH..... I am a crows supporter and Mark Ricciuto has written a book about his life and the first 500 people to buy the book were also going to have Roo's autograph in it. I was one of the first 500, (not exciting for most of you I know).

So here is the book, now I have to finish reading my other book so I can start on this one. I also will have to hide it from Anabell as I know she will try and pinch it from me as Roo was here favourite player.

I also have another 2 double LO's completed but I haven't taken any pic's of those yet so I will post those next time.

This is the Sketch LO for the Forever Always Comp Round 1. Don't think I will make it to far in the comp (I would love too) but it will be great for the challenge.

Well that's it for today. We all make it to round 2. We will have invites to continue to round 3 if they like what they see.

Until then
Take Care

Long Post

Hi All,
Thanks for stopping by....
Well what has happened since I last posted.

Here are a few chocolates I bought. Left is a Chocolate Mud Cake, middle is Orange, and the one on the right is called a Flower Pot.

On the way Home we Stopped of at Paperdoll Boutique to show Wendy the finished frame.

Well on Saturday I stayed at home and watched the grand final. And what a grand final, no-one would have thought that Geelong would have won by 119 points. (Not a Geelong Supporter), but they really did deserve to win.

I also did a Layout

Monday a friend come over and I taught her how to make a rose out of 2 different shaped punches. The balloon and heart. If you look at the post below this one you will see the rose on top of the exploding box.

********************************************

Yesterday the girls and I went to Karingal to do a few things, and as we were leaving we went into StarBucks and bought 2 Latte's and a couple of hot chocolates, then headed down to Wendy's. We drunk our latte's and my girls had there hot chocolates and had a great chat. The girls then decided to re-arrange the shop and neaten up the ribbon pile. I bought some more stock and the girls also picked out some paper for themselves.

I have also decided to enter a comp called Last scrapper Standing, at Forever Always. At the end of the comp if you have made it you will be on there design team for 6 months. That starts tomorrow. I will keep you all informed on how it is all going.
