Second Week of the School holidays so far

Hi all,

So how is everyone surviving the school holidays so far. Things have been pretty good here. The girls have been kept busy. I haven't got I'm bored mum......yet. LOL

Well so far this week starting from Sunday.

BABY SHOWER
Sunday arvo we went to Tom and Suzie's baby shower. It was a modern one as the partners all had to come as well. LOL.......non of the males wanted to be there at all. One of the games we played was guess whats in the nappy. The boys had to get involved in this, so they banded together to take out the win.

Another game was we had to guess how many lollies where in the bottles. We all had to guess and the closest win one of 3 bottles. Anabell guessed the right amount of one of them.......YEAH go Anabell.

Here is the card that I made for them.
and the inside of the card.......

I also made this lollipop with a face washer and a paddle pop stick (actually one of the hundred rub-on sticks I have just lying around).

I decided I didn't want to buy any clothes for there baby as they really have enough and I knew they would get more from other people. So Rick and I bought this frame. My First Year. You put the photos of the baby for every month up to 12 months. I thought that this would be a lovely keepsake, as it is there first.

And a close up of the cute little animals in the middle of the frame.
We didn't get home till after 7:30pm that night, had some dinner and watched 10,000BC. Great movie.

MOVIE DAY
Monday I took the girls to Karingal to go and see Space Chimps. Really cool movie. They sat there munching out on popcorn......... A friend her daughter and step son came with us also.
When we were leaving Jasmine saw a friend of hers that she hasn't seen since leaving Overport. They have known each other since before kinder. I really need to try and catch up with her mum so the girls can have a play. I really think that made Jasmines day. Love seeing my girls with a smile on there face.
When we came home I started a LO but with the girls home i feel real guilty scrapping and telling them to go and amuse themselves. They do it anyway but, I love spending as much time with them as possible as when they get older they aren't going to want to be with mum.....LOL.

TODAY

Today.........

We took it easy this morning, just lounged around doing our own thing.

We the went down to Frankston as I wanted to check out the prices of roller blades. As the girls are going to Skate World on a regular basis I really wanted them to own there own pair of blades.

We went to Kmart, found some there, but thought I would check out Target, Rebel Sport and Toys R us. In the end we settled for the ones we saw first at Kmart. They were the best made ones for an affordable price. The ones at rebel sport where just a bit out of my price range at $150 each pair. I liked that the girls were Just under $60 each. The bonus of these ones are that they change up 4 sizes so I can pinch them as they also fit me........LOL.

So here are the girls back at home trying out there new blades up and down the driveway.

Anabell's feet............
Jasmine's feet..............

Well I think I might sign off now. Need to catch up on everyones blogs.

UMMMMMMM.............

HI all,

Hope everyone is still surviving, during the school holiday.

The girls and I have been skating and going to parks and riding bikes at the moment. I am planning on taking them to the movies next week.

I in the last couple of days haven't been feeling the best. Getting better today though.
Rick, had an ealier day today, so he came home and picked up the girls to take them fishing. Gave me some me time, gotta love that as I don't get that often at all. LOL

On other news I am no longer in the SYTYCS comp. Feeling a bit upset about it, but that happens and well my last LO wasn't crash hot.

I decided to do Challenge 4 though as I liked the criteria. Here is the LO.

Well that's it for today
Take care

Weekend and a couple of layouts.

On the weekend, we all went to a Kiwi Festival in Seaford. The girls had there faces painted and learnt how to make poi's.

Poi's are little balls on a string that the female dancers use. They are twirled using there wrist.
Jasmines face painting is called a Moki (not sure of the spelling).

Rick also went out and bought a new barbie, with a hood and a side burner. So thats what we had for dinner on Sat night. We invited a few friends over and chilled it was great.

Here is a couple of layout and cards that I have made also. I seem to be using butterflys lots lately so I challenged myself on the second layout not to use any. LOL

Both these cards were made for a 21st. I was commissioned to make the black and pink one. The second one is the one that I gave to the birthday girl.

Well thats it from me for today.

Miss S (part2)

Yesterday, Miss S was taken to hospital again via ambulance due to another seizure. They had her in emergency until about 2pm and then sent her home. i really think that Frankston Hospital just don't have a clue.

This morning, I again was woken up early in the morning as they needed to drop off Miss T at our house as Miss S was again needing the ambulance.

I went to visit this morning after I dropped off my 2 and Miss T.

I had the most beautiful cuddle with Miss S, when she decided to have another seizure. It was the first time that I had seen her have one. But it won't be the last time that my mind replays that image. It was the most scariest thing that I have ever seen. the seizure lasted for over 5 minutes, but when it finished it took another about 30mins to recover. She looked so vacant. Not the Miss S I know.

Her mum is so brave and strong at the moment, but I know she will break down eventually.

She had to be sedated this afternoon, as they needed to do a MRI. Hope mum and dad get some answers.
And I am a little happier that the hospital are taking this more seriously now.

Sorry if this post is so jumbled but, I'm really not thinking straight.

Miss S get better soon. Can everyone please keep her in your thoughts.

A Layout

I was excited today when I checked out Rach's blog and saw that I was one of the five LO's that she had picked to win a rak. Rach set the criteria for the Scraptacular SYTYCS comp challenge #1. Make sure you go and check out the gallery at all the entries, and if you are part of the forum and have made 30+ posts you can vote for your fave LO.

********************************************************

Here is a LO that I did at the beginning of the year that Scrapbook Memories had accepted for the wedding gallery. But they had changed there mind and decided to put it into another gallery instead. It has now been months and so I figure it's now not going to happen. I had even posted it to them and they photographed it and posted it back to me with the letter to say yes they were going to publish it.

I figured I would put it into my blog and let others see it, as I'm not holding my breathe anymore....LOL.

Happy Fathers Day to all the Dads out there.......

We had a pretty laid back day today. The girls gave Rick some pressies. The fishing rod being his fave...LOL

We took Rick out for lunch, Sofia's in Frankston. We then went for a walk along the pier. The weather was OK. Jasmine saw one of her friends on the pier fishing with her dad, so the girls had a bit of a chat. They don't get to see each other very much anymore as they don't go to the same school anymore.

Then we took a stroll over to Cold Rock for some yummy ice cream. Don't have it very often as its not cheap when the whole family go in there, but it's nice to have a treat.

Then Rick told me about fishing rods on special at Rays Outdoors. So off we went, and guess what Rick decided he needed another 2 rods. He is planning on taking the girls fishing with him next time.

Now we are at home and Rick is relaxing and playing the Xbox 360. He also woke up this morning not feeling the best so we also had to stop of at the chemist for him.

Here are a couple of photos of Rick and the girls today at the Frankston Pier.

Other news, Miss S now has a cold, and due to what happened the other night she is not even allowed to have panadol, as this may mask anything else that might happen. So the poor little mite is miserable with a cough and a runny nose. Can't wait to see her tomorrow and give her a big hug.
Voting also starts tonight at 8:30pm for the Scraptacular SYTYCS Comp. Good luck to everyone. I'm hoping to make it through.

Until next time
Take care

Miss S (6 1/2 Months)

On Tuesday night at about 11:30 my mobile rang, scaring the **** out of me. It was Dave, Miss S (6 1/2 months) dad. I needed to get around to there house to look after Miss T (8) as they had to go to the hospital.

Miss S gave her parents a really big scare. She had a fit in her sleep, luckily her mum J heard her, as she was choking on her vomit. The mussels in her whole body had tensed. An ambulance had to be called.

I raced around to J's house, just as the ambo's left with Miss S and her dad.

Around 2am in the morning, Dave rang to say that Miss S was being admitted.

At around 7am on the Wednesday morning Miss T woke up, the poor thing got really excited that I was there, but then worked out that something was wrong. I had to explain that he sister had to go to hospital as she wasn't feeling very well. That is all I told her as this was very upsetting for her as it was. I then had to get Miss T to get dressed as I had to get home for my girls, as Rick had to head of to work.

We managed to get home by 7:30 just in time for Rick. I then got the 3 girls ready for school and dropped them off.

I was so worried about Miss S that I went straight to the hospital. The poor little thing had no energy, but still managed a little smile when she saw me. I spent most of the day there, so I could also support Miss S's mum.

Lots of tests were done, and she had to stay in hospital on Wednesday night as they needed to run more tests on the Thursday morning. I was there when they did the ultrasound on her brain, all clear......... a huge sigh of relief, no brain damage. She did though have a little brain swelling from the seizure.

They think she might have epilepsy as it runs in her mothers side. But she needs some more tests that is going to be done at the Monash hospital.

Miss S was allowed to go home on Thursday afternoon.

On Friday, A really big bunch of flowers arrived for Rick and I from Dave and J, to say thank you for all the support and help.

The Flowers that Dave's daughter had arranged was the first as a fully fledged florist. She had just finished her apprenticeship. Congrats Bec.

Here is a pic of the beautiful flowers.

Lastly here is a layout that I have done. Not sure about it, but that happens sometime I suppose.

What Spring means to me...........

Today is the first day of spring, but it also for me today the 1st anniversary of my brothers death.

While I love spring, and all the flowers blooming, birds chirping, the nicer weather.
I have a hard time on this day.

My grandad also died on this day.

I have so many emotions going through my head at the moment, and I don't know how to write it all.

I love you Mark.
