Only 1 LO to share

Well update about the Forever Always Last Scrapper Standing Comp. I bummed out last week, so I am no longer in the running. It was fun while it lasted though. I have decided to do the last 2 weeks of the comp for the fun gallery.

So for week #7 we had to do a Christmas LO with a minimum of 8 photos.

So here is mine.

Products Used: Daisyd's pp, H.S. Glitter Flowers and other flowers, MM - Decorative Brads and buckle, Daisyd's Rub-ons, Ink, D.M., Collections Elements Brackets, Ribbon, Brown Sugar Designs - Paper Clip, Prima Marketing - Clear Stamp.

I have used foam tape to raise the middle picture as it is the mess.....wrapping paper and presents all over the lounge room floor photo.

Anabell did the Bracks Reading Challenge, and she had to read 30 books from there book selection. Anabell's reading is grade 4 and she is still only in grade 2. So she was reading the Grade 4 books, and I decided to contact the reading challenge to find out if Anabell had to only read 15 books because that is how many you read in grade 4 (as the books are harder and bigger). They did get back to me and said that Anabell still had to read 30 as she wasn't in grade 4. But she got there and managed to finish reading the 30 books. So this is the certificate she received for her troubles.

On Friday I went up to school to help bake lots of scones for the school reunion afternoon tea. I didn't take my camera so there are no pics.

Saturday I went to Wendy's and had a cuppa, I also had to get some transparency for the LO that I am doing at the moment. I then rang around to find out about a new Printer. I ended up getting a HP photosmart All-in-one printer, scanner.

I also went up to Overport to help out with the Devanshire tea and scones with fresh cream and jam. Yum.

Today, Sunday I managed to get Jasmine and Anabell to clean there room........YEAH.

Anabell has also lost 2 teeth this week as well. 1 a couple of days ago and the other today.

I think that is all for the moment.
Take care

I made it to round 6

Hi all,

Tuesday:

Rick the girls and I packed the picnic stuff and drove to Tooradin. It was a lovely day. We had a barbie and the girls played in the play ground, then they decided afterwards that they would go into the mud and look for crabs with Rick. They found a couple and also got very muddy. Gee I love washing......not. hehe.

So here are a few shots of them in the mud having lots of fun.

I was waiting on an email from Sonia at Forever Always to find out if I had made it to round 6 in the Last Scrapper Standing Comp.

Yes I made it.......... Yeah

I have never made it past the first round before, but my scrapping has also changed alot in the last about 6 months.

So now to create for round 6. We have to do a beyond a page that relates to christmas. It has to uploaded by Monday morning at 9am. The pressure is now on.

Here is a sneak Peak at what I have started.

I have taken a photo of the 3 christmas cards that I have done. These ones are pretty simple, but some I know don't like fancy things so there is no point to doing there's any fancier.

This next LO is one I have done isn't for any comps. This one is of Jasmine at the park. And yes I have done some hand cutting of pp.

This LO is for a challenge comp on Sharon's blog, called shallenges.

We had to create a LO with:

  1. Stripes
  2. Song Title
  3. No green or blue

So I have done a LO on one of the songs that was played at Marks Funeral.

The LO has the lyrics I'll Be Missing You by Puff Daddy, and also the journaling reads:

I'll be missing you was the third song played for you at your funeral Mark. It was the song that really had alot of meaning to it, that I could relate to. All I could do was sit there and watch the curtains close and think off how much I was going to miss you. And how many things we didn't get a chance to do together. And how you wouldn't be able to watch your neices grow up. There are so many things I am going to miss about you Mark. I love you and I will miss you, but you will always be close to my heart. 10.9.07.

Well that's all for now
Take Care

Buster

Rick and I were woken up this morning at 7 am by the phone ringing.

Rick answered the phone. It was the lost dogs home in Cranbourne, to tell us that they had Buster.
He decided to jump the fence and run off as he must have got scared in the night because of the weather.
He asked what the address was so we could come and get him. Then the blow came.

They told Rick that Buster had been hit by a car. The police found him on the Moorooduc Highway and took him to the vet, then onto the Lost Dogs Home Buster went. Buster is now in Doggy Heaven.

You will be missed very much, Buster.

I was actually was starting to think that maybe life was slowly starting to look up for the girls and I.

Rick and I the other night, sat down and he opened up to me which he hasn't done in a long time. So it was great to really know what was going through his head. After 12 1/2 years together I wasn't willing to give up on us, until I was 100% sure that things couldn't be fixed. So we are working on us, which is great.

My blog of late seems to just be more depressing stuff than anything else. So I would like to finish this post of with a couple of LO's I have done.

This LO of my Dad had no adhesives, I have only used Brads and hand stitching.

I have also started making some Christmas Cards but I haven't taken photos yet, so when I do I will post some pics of them.

Well that's all from me for now.
