Update

Hi all,

I have been so slack I haven't updated my blog since last wednesday.

I went to coffee morning last thursday at paperdoll. It was great to catch up with all the girls that i haven't seen since before I went to N.Z. The shop was full, so there was lots of chatting and laughing.
Not much to report for friday.
I didn't make it to round 2 of the embellished idol, I am still going to do the challenges for fun.
Anabell was happy to go back to auskick on friday night. And Jasmine was hreally happy that the tigers won.
Today I did some scrapping.

Round 2: We had to use no more than 2 paint samples on the LO and use papers to match the paint samples and journelling.

So here is my one that I did today.

Products used: BG pp, Jenni Bowlin pp, ink, Heidi Swapp Chipboard Letter, Bella Chipboard photo corners, 5 Kids and a Dog(laser cut cardstock), 2x paint samples.

And this is another LO that I did today.

Product Used: BG pp, Petaloo flower, Jenni Bowlin felt button, lace, Autumn Leaves journelling stamp, Heidi Swapp ghost clock, brad, ink, Delish moments rub-on, Hambly rub-on, Scrap-FX arrow, Scraplets word(beautiful), American Crafts ribbon, buckle, and DM.

This one is for my holiday album it was taken at Lake Pupuke (Poo-pook-ee). The girls were feeding the Black Swans, ducks and Pukeko (poo-kek-o).

This is a Pukeko

ok well I think that might do for today, I better get the girls organised, to have a shower.

Snow, Lake and Falls

We went to the snow when we were in New Zealand. Mt Ruapehu, the first day that we went up the Mountain it snowed, it was exciting because the girls had never been in snow before. We hired a sled and the girls had a ball and so did the boys.

And here is a picture of Mt Ruapehu.
We also went to Lake Taupo. When you look at a map on New Zealand you will see in the north Island there is a pea sized water spot, well that is Lake Taupo ( and in real life it is a lot bigger than the size of a pea)

I have stitched together 3 photos and it still looks like it is small.

And here is a pic of Huka (Hooker) Falls

I think that is all for today, I will post more tomorrow of our holiday to New Zealand.

Voting is now open for the Embellished Idol and we find out who makes it to round 2 on friday, so now the waiting game. I really don't think I will make it as there is so many outstanding LO's. I think I am really out of my league, but I will still do the challenges even if I don't make it past this round.

Till next time Vesna

21st July

21st July we decided to go up to Mt Wellington an extinct volcano.

This is Mt Wellington from the bottom.

This is the view from the top of the volcano looking into the crater.

This shot is on top of Mt Wellington looking at Auckland city. It was a very cloudy day, I would love to go up there on a sunny clear day. The very tall building that you can see in the pic is the SKY TOWER.

Later on in the afternoon we had to get ready to take Alan to his 60th birthday surprise party. A great night was had by all, and best of all Jasmine and Anabell got to meet lots of relo's that they have never met. Lots of drinking was done.

19th and 20th July 2007

Well I am back in Aus after being away for 2 weeks in New Zealand.

I had no time to post anything on here the whole time, and also I didn't want to use my in-laws comp to much.

I haven't done any scrapping, and I can't wait to get into some, as I took alot of pics while we we were there.

The family woke up at 5am in the morning on the 19th July, got ready and jumped into a cab at 6am to head to Frankston so we could catch the airport bus.

Jasmine and Anabell found out we were going to N.Z.

We arrived at the airport and checked in at 9:30am and them had to wait to board the plane at 11.30am. Plane departed at 12:30pm Aus time and we arrived in N.Z at 5:30pm N.Z time. (They are 2 hours ahead of us.)

Marion (mother-in-law) picked us up at the airport and we arrived home at about 8pm (N.Z time), nearly giving Alan (father-in-law) a heart attack as he still had no idea we were arriving to celebrate his 60th birthday with him.

It was great catching up with the olds. That was about all for the 19th July, we were all so tired from a whole days travelling.

Here are a couple of pics of the girls and there grandparents Alan and Marion, the night that we arrived.

On the 20th July we really didn't do much at all except talks lots more and relax. Jasmine and Anabell really needed a day to just be children and run around and have fun instead of sitting down and being quiet.
I think that will be all for today, I will add some more in tomorrow about our holiday.
